Engineered hardwood keeps a genuine wood wear layer over a dimensionally stable core, which opens up rooms where solid wood is harder to justify.
Because the core is built up in layers, engineered planks tend to be more stable across changes in the environment than solid boards of the same width. That makes wide-plank looks and lower-level installations far more practical.
Installation method matters as much as the material. Depending on the product and the substrate, a floor may be glued, floated or mechanically fastened — and each approach has its own preparation, spacing and edge detailing.
We work with the product's own installation requirements rather than a generic routine, and we prepare the substrate to suit them.
