Wide-Plank Main Floor
A full main level laid in a single continuous run, with the grain reading from the entry through to the living room.
This layout example shows how a main floor can be planned as one surface rather than a series of rooms. The run direction follows the longest sight line, and board tone is distributed so no single area reads darker than the rest.
Transitions at the stair landing and doorways were detailed so the floor never interrupts itself.
